Middle East Travel Tips

Why Middle East is Amazing

The Middle East is probably the most intimidating region for travellers, especially given the state of the world today. Which is really a shame because if there ever was a time to go to his utterly fascinating part of our planet, it is now.

Why do I say this? Consider what Mark Twain said travelling: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”

If ever there was a time when the world needs more compassion, open-mindedness, and charity, then we are living in it. Travelling to this region is the surest way to dispel unfounded myths and fears about the Middle East.

Granted that some parts of the Middle East are a no-go zone, for example, Syria, Iraq, Yemen), but for every such state, there is an unparalleled gem such Israel + Palestine, Oman, Jordan.
